Welcome to Braj Bhushan Sankskrit College Gaya.

Braj Bhushan Sanskrit College was established in 1904 under a deed of declaration through the religious trust known as the “Braj Bhushan Ishtapurt Trust/Fund” within the premises of a traditional Thakurbari campus at Kharkhura, Gaya. Initially founded as a Sanskrit Pathshala, the institution became an important centre for the teaching and preservation of Vedic and classical Sanskrit learning, including Veda, Upanishad, Vedanta, Mimansa, Vyakarana, Sahitya, Alankara, Jyotisha and Dharmashastra traditions. In its early phase, examinations were conducted through the Bihar-Bengal-Utkal Sanskrit Samiti. Over time, the institution developed into a constituent college of Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University and continues to contribute to the advancement of Sanskrit education and traditional Indian knowledge systems. ब्रजभूषण संस्कृत महाविद्यालय, खरखुरा, गया (कामेश्वर सिंह दरभंगा संस्कृत विश्वविद्यालय, दरभंगा, बिहार की अंगीभूत इकाई) स्थापना- ज्येष्ठ शुक्ल पंचमी, सम्वत १९६१ विक्रमी तद्नुसार 20 मई 1904 ई.
